Academics

The School admit students irrespective of their tribal or religious backgrounds from all parts of the country and beyond; and we instil an upright moral character to all the students. We promote good communication and behaviour within the entire school fraternity to make them grow as one Human Race.

Due to changes of Education system in Kenya we do not have form one this year 2025 and 8 4 4 is being face out by end of 2028. We shall have the first grade 10 in 2026. Applicants will be required to bring with them official results-slips; and in case of a transfer; a transfer letter from the previous school must be produced. Applicants are required to maintain a high standard of discipline once admitted.

EXPECTATIONS and GOALS

The School  expects to continue being a leader in education in Magarini Constituency and Coastal region.  Our students have always performed exceptionally well in final exams and in other activities. 

We have achieved the above performance by placing strong emphasis on :-

  • a collective and consultative approach to relationship management, decision making and planning;
  • a cycle of review and development aimed at ensuring effective use of resources for the benefit of students’ learning;
  • appropriate and suitable physical facilities to provide an attractive learning environment;
  • first class equipment (including information technology – ICT, to ensure easy access to all available information);
  • a high qualified and well – motivated staff.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Athletics

Mambrui Secondary School offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities to enhance and enrich our students’ academic experience. A big component of this is our athletic program.

Arts

Mambrui Secondary School believes participation in the arts is key to providing a well-rounded educational experience. Students at Mambrui Secondary School have many opportunities to participate in the arts at every age and class level. The  School  believes that participating in the wide range of fine arts offerings will open the eyes of our students up to a new world of creativity and exploration

  • Inter-house creative arts competition
  • Essay and poetry writing competition
 

We strives to create a harmonious balance between academic demands, sporting and cultural activities and community life. Our students learn to be knowledgeable, open-minded thinkers, inquirers, principled, calculated risk-takers, well-balanced, and caring. They are prepared for life.

The School is a community of life-long learners of students, teachers and parents with the goal of developing an ethical, pluralistic global community with a social conscience. It develops homegrown leaders with ethical foundations based on spirituality, and desire and ability to create positive change in the world.

It is located 14km North of Malindi town on a historical site popularly known as Mambrui, 200 meters from the beach, surrounded by sand dunes, lying on a quiet/seRené, scenic site which is conductive to learning; with a well fenced compound with a 24hr guard.
